Some thoughts about me…
My father told me I couldn’t go to university because I was just going to get married and have children.
My (first) husband told me I’d never be anything without him.
My divorce lawyer told me I would never again live in the “luxury” to which I had become accustomed.
And, with all of that wonderful encouragement, I went back to college at the age of 38. I worked and studied extremely hard and graduated with Honours, first in my class with a 4.0 grade average.
I started my career at the age of 40, and I never looked back. There were, indeed, better days ahead–much better! I am a capable woman.
