Nanny’s 86th Birthday
It was October 31, 2015. We didn’t know at the time, but this was to be Nanny’s last birthday. I made her favourite meal, put her “best” tablecloth on the table, and bought her favourite dessert–a chocolate “baby cake.” We sang “Happy Birthday” and took some photos. I bought her a big jewelry chest, in which she later enjoyed organizing her jewelry. Sadly, Peter and I were the only two there to celebrate her last birthday with her, but we made sure that Nanny had fun!
