The BIG snowstorm on Wednesday, February 27, pretty much brought Ottawa to a halt. Hundreds of city buses had to be towed, leaving public transit commuters stranded in blizzard-like conditions. City plows worked around the clock to keep the roads passable. Cars in ditches, everywhere. What a mess!
But, as we all know, there are two sides to every coin. Here are some photos that show the beauty and peaceful side of winter–all taken from my front and back porches.
And, back to the other side of the coin…

Spring, sweet spring is just around the corner…at least we hope so.
We are all wintered out!
Oh my goodness!! Your life seems to be full of adventure and, by the way, I love your bookcase. Remember, patience is a virtue!
Thanks, Lois. You’re so right, patience is a virtue…sometimes I forget! But this was a costly mistake, so I’m slowing down and doing it right the first time. Remember that quote, “If you can’t find time to do it right the first time, when will you find time to do it over?”
Big hugs,
Gloria

Wow what a storm, I was out in that and I must say it was horrible!
While driving along I was grumbling at the traffic and the weather for holding me up but I could not help but notice how beautiful winter was and knowing that this may be the last storm made it a little more tolerable
I was out in that storm, too, Neil. Do we ever think alike!! I was marveling at how beautiful the trees looked. You ARE such a kind soul!!
oh and great pictures and the house looks great !!
Thanks, Neil!!! So nice of you to visit my blog!! xoxo
